Selection worksheet

Model selection starts with the real production requirement.

Provide these engineering inputs so shelf area, condenser margin, loading and utility demand can be evaluated together.

01

Product limits

Material properties, critical temperature, moisture target, fill depth and required finished-product quality.

02

Batch target

Container or tray format, loading quantity, units per batch and the required production rhythm.

03

Cycle basis

Freezing method, drying stages, known cycle duration, endpoint method and condenser demand.

04

Facility boundary

Room arrangement, door orientation, technical-area access, material flow and maintenance clearances.

05

Automation level

Loading, recipes, interlocks, alarms, trend records and interfaces with the wider production system.

06

Project evidence

Required drawings, material records, factory acceptance, training and qualification responsibilities.

Published model data

* Indicative values from the supplied SHENSHENG selection guide. Large models from SSFD-50 upward are described as radiant-heating configurations requiring a separate quick-freezing room. Confirm all values and utilities in the quotation.

Process-critical controls

What the system must control during the cycle.

These controls connect the equipment specification to actual process risk.

Freezing

Product structure begins here

Review shelf cooling, nucleation assumptions, fill depth and the temperature margin before primary drying.

  • Shelf ramp and hold control
  • Product probes by agreed scope
  • Uniform loading pattern

Primary drying

Balance heat input and vapour flow

Chamber pressure, shelf temperature, condenser capacity and product temperature must remain within the process window.

  • Vacuum-control strategy
  • Condenser margin
  • Endpoint method

Secondary drying

Reach the moisture target

Controlled heating and hold time support desorption without exceeding the product temperature limit.

  • Recipe repeatability
  • Trend and alarm review
  • Stoppering sequence

Utilities & interfaces

The chamber is one part of a production system.

Final requirements are calculated from model, cycle and site conditions. The proposal should clearly allocate every connection and responsibility.

ElectricalVoltage, frequency and connected production load
CoolingCooling-water or air-cooled basis and heat rejection
Quick freezingIntegrated or independent pre-freezing by selected model
DrainageDefrost water, cleaning water and floor-drain allocation
Room interfacesTray flow, loading access, unloading and cleaning space
DataRecipes, batch records, alarms and production trends

Project deliverables

Know what should arrive with the equipment.

The final document list is agreed contractually; this framework makes the project discussion concrete.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask before selection.

Short answers support early evaluation; project-specific decisions remain subject to engineering confirmation.

Which SSLY model is suitable for a pilot or production project?

Selection depends on container format, units per batch, shelf area, water load, loading method, utilities and documentation scope. A model code should only follow this engineering review.

Can the system include hydraulic stoppering?

The published SSLY range includes common and hydraulic stoppering configurations. The mechanism, pressure and applicable container system must be confirmed in the technical proposal.

What temperature and vacuum values are published?

Selected published SSLY data lists a no-load shelf setting range of −50°C to +70°C and ultimate vacuum of ≤5 Pa. Product performance and cycle conditions remain project-specific.

Can the system integrate with cleanroom loading and plant utilities?

Yes. Door arrangement, technical-area access, material flow, utilities, controls and documentation can be reviewed within the project system boundary.
